Our Staff
Our staff are passionate and dedicated to the ethos and community spirit of Scallywags. The team works hard to ensure that the curriculum and environment is engaging so that all children thrive.
Ongoing training for key staff ensures that we remain active in our own learning. We bring projects into the setting that have long term impact on the children such as Healthy Early Years Program, Every Child a Talker (ECaT) programme and Attention Tower Hamlets programme. Our most recent programme, Early Talk Boost, is a targeted intervention designed for 3 to 4-year-olds who have delayed language development and need help with talking and understanding words. Both staff and children have thrived and enjoyed taking part.
These kinds of programme help us facilitate good practice, continue to grow, and develop the skillset of parents along with us.
Our Trustees
All four of our charity trustees have been or are current parents at Scallywags: Kate Gould (Chair), Gill Young (Treasurer), Joy Jones (Secretary) and Anna Jones Davall. Each appointment brings appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to the trustees as a body, and supports Debbie in the running of the nursery.
